World Wrestling: Abhimanyu defeated world number-7

Indian wrestler Abhimanyu has made an impressive start in the World Championship, reaching the quarter-finals in the 70 kg weight category. Abhimanyu, who previously won a bronze medal at the Under-23 World Championship, caused an upset in the first round by defeating the seventh-ranked wrestler, Ihor Nykyforuk from Ukraine, with a score of 19-9. He continued his winning streak in the second round, defeating Nicole Graham from Moldova with a score of 13-2, securing his place in the quarter-finals.
However, the news was not as positive for three other Indian freestyle wrestlers on the first day of the championship. Akash Dahiya, competing in the 61 kg category, Sandeep Mann in the 86 kg category, and Sumit in the 125 kg category, all won their first-round matches but unfortunately lost in the second round.
