Indian badminton players are gearing up for the upcoming Asian Games in China, and as part of their preparation, they will be participating in the China Open Super-1000 Badminton Tournament. The tournament, which commences on Tuesday, will see Indian players showcasing their skills and aiming for success.
One of the notable pairs to watch out for is Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, who currently hold the second spot in the world rankings. They are considered strong contenders for the title and will be looking to make their mark in the tournament. Another player to keep an eye on is HS Prannoy, who won a bronze medal at the World Championships. In his first match, Prannoy will face the third seed, Kunlawat Vitidsarn, in what promises to be an exciting encounter.
However, it is worth noting that PV Sindhu, the reigning Olympic silver medalist, has withdrawn from the tournament. The reasons for her withdrawal have not been specified, but it is likely that she is focusing on her preparations for the Asian Games.
